TSPU VOLUNTEER TEAM "POINT OF VIEW" — WINNER OF THE "CITY OF GOOD DEEDS" PROJECT

In Tomsk, the results of the implementation of the city project for the development of the volunteer movement among the youth "City of Good Deeds" of the 2019-2020 season were summed up: among the teams of higher education institutions, the victory was awarded to the TSPU volunteer team "Point of View".

32 teams from enterprises, universities, secondary vocational schools and educational organizations of the city have become participants in the volunteer program. The activists helped socially unprotected citizens and Tomsk residents who found themselves in a difficult life situation in solving of complex everyday issues (clearing households from snow, carrying out minor repairs, accompanying during a walk, etc.). For 11 months of the project, the teams completed 2,798 applications.

“I am very proud of my volunteers, who, despite the difficult epidemiological situation in the Tomsk region, continued to provide free assistance to those in need in the delivery of food and medical kits, accompaniment ... Thank them for the great work done!” — commented the head of the TSPU "Point of View" detachment Zarina Umerova.

In addition to participating in the campaign of the project, the TSPU volunteers were actively involved in the activities of the city center for helping the elderly and people with limited mobility during the coronavirus pandemic. The interest in their work, skill and dedication that our students demonstrated in their work allowed the TSPU team to become the best volunteer team among university volunteer organizations.
