THE FIFTH «SPACE LESSON» AT TSPU

On 22th of December  students and employees of the Tomsk state pedagogical university for the fifth time have organized «Space lesson» that took place in Korolev city in «Energy» museum.

Using an online broadcast provided by the State TV and Radio Company "Tomsk", kids from the Tomsk region as well as from Korolev and pupils of the Sirius Educational Center (Sochi) have met at the event. The main topic of the lesson was "Electromagnetic environment: Space Communication".

 

Among the experts of the lesson were: Hero of the Soviet Union, Pilot-Cosmonaut No. 57, Flight Director of the ISS Vladimir Solovyov; Soviet and Russian scientist, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of research organization "Kosmonit", Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Grigory Markelovich Chernyavsky; Adviser to the General Director of the Rocket and Space Corporation “Energia”, Honored Designer of the Russian Federation Alexander Chernyavsky. The foreword was made by Governor of the Tomsk Region A.S. Zhvachkin.

As usually, the lesson participants listened to the theoretical part, conducted by the graduate of the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the TSPU Rustam Kononenko and the Associate Professor of the TSPU, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Alexei Removich Arzhanik. The theory was supported by demonstration of experiments, after which the kids asked questions to the ISS cosmonauts  Anton Shkaplerov and Alexander Misurkin.
