TSPU ACTIVISTS at THE WORLD FESTIVAL OF YOUTH AND STUDENTS IN SOCHI

This autumn the biggest event for active youth of the whole world takes place on October the 15th. 185 countries, more than 25 thousand participants and seven days of intensive work program - all this is the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students (WFMS) in Sochi.

Traditionally, our students took active part in this event and demonstrate their skills and abilities. The Tomsk State Pedagogical University is represented by the team of leaders of student government of the TSPU. Every day, young people are given the opportunity to express themselves in various forms of business communication, to learn and share experience at conferences and seminars, to visit exhibitions and discuss problems of different countries, to participate in fairs, sports and cultural events, to establish partnerships for mutually beneficial development and to defend the honor of Tomsk Pedagogical University.

The World Festival of Youth and Students has been held since 1947. In the 50s - early 60s festivals were held under the slogan "For peace and friendship", later - "For anti-imperialist solidarity, peace and friendship". Since 2001, every subsequent Festival has a new slogan, which is traditionally approved at the first international preparatory meeting for the upcoming Festival.

This year the Festival is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution and the 70th anniversary of the festival movement. The slogan of the World youth festival 2017: "For peace, solidarity and social justice, we are fighting against imperialism - respecting our past, we are building our future!" During the working week, youth representatives will undergo a chain of events related to the daily changing themes: Day of America, Africa, East, Asia and Oceania, Europe, Russia.
